CULIACÁN, SINALOA. – Recognized for its invaluable impact on sports, culture, and identity both within and beyond the state, the Tomateros de Culiacán Baseball Club was distinguished with the "Orgullo Sinaloense" (Sinaloan Pride) award in the Athletic Legacy category, presented by the State Government through the Ministry of Tourism.
The award was accepted by the organization's Sports Manager, Francisco Campos, who attended on behalf of the Guinda front office to receive this honor celebrating the team's history, hard work, and tradition in professional baseball.
Established in 2023 to honor the most influential figures and institutions representing Sinaloa at the regional, national, and international levels, this recognition highlights the enduring legacy the Nación Guinda has built over the years.
The distinction holds special meaning as it is awarded through a program driven by public participation and citizen voting, where the fan base and Sinaloan society backed the club's sporting trajectory and community commitment.
With this award, Tomateros de Culiacán reaffirms its role as a sports ambassador for the state and renews its commitment to upholding Sinaloa's pride as the 2026-2027 Liga Mexicana del Pacífico season approaches.
