Driven by an offense that surged early, Tomateros de Culiacán defeated Cañeros de Los Mochis 7-4 to successfully wrap up their participation in "La Baja Beis."
The Guindas made an immediate impact in the very first inning. Following a base hit by Édgar Robles, Valentín Hernández unleashed a two-run homer to open the scoring for the Culiacán squad.
The attack from the Sinaloan capital kept rolling into the second frame. Robles responded once again with a single, Hernández reached on a hit, and Ramiro Peña drew a walk to load the bases. Moments later, Fabricio Macías drove in two runs with a timely single, extending the lead to 4-0.
In the fourth inning, Culiacán pushed the game further out of reach. With runners in scoring position, Jesús "Pollito" Higuera delivered a key two-run single to bring the advantage to seven.
Although the Los Mochis side rallied to narrow the gap, the Tomateros bullpen locked in when it mattered most to seal the 7-4 final victory.
With this win, Tomateros finishes their preseason schedule in Los Cabos undefeated, looking increasingly sharp and ready for the start of the 2026-2027 Liga Mexicana del Pacífico Banamex season.
