CULIACÁN, SINALOA. Just days away from the start of the 2026-2027 Liga Mexicana del Pacífico Banamex season, the front office, coaching staff, players, and personnel of the Tomateros de Culiacán Baseball Club gathered this Monday to celebrate their traditional Thanksgiving Mass.

The ceremony took place at the Our Lady of Guadalupe Parish ("La Lomita") and was officiated by Father Yasser López Rocha, who offered a blessing to the Guinda squad ahead of the new campaign.

During the service, the team renewed its faith and commitment to face the challenges of the upcoming tournament. In his message, Father López Rocha highlighted the importance of mental and spiritual strength, teamwork, and camaraderie both on and off the field to overcome any obstacle during the season.

Additionally, he called on the team to defend the club's colors with honor, dedication, and passion, reminding them that team unity will be the key to achieving their goals.

Following the mass, the Guinda squad held their traditional team bonding luncheon, bringing together players, executives, and their families in a close, collegial atmosphere ahead of Opening Day.

With this event, Tomateros de Culiacán completed their final pre-season activity and are officially declared ready for their season debut this Wednesday, October 14 against the Venados in Mazatlán, followed by their home opener in Culiacán on Thursday, October 15 at Estadio Tomateros.
