CULIACÁN, SINALOA. – The Tomateros de Culiacán preseason took a major step forward this Sunday. Marking their tenth day of workouts, the guinda squad held its first intra-squad scrimmage of the 2026-2027 Liga ARCO Mexicana del Pacífico (LMP) preseason.
The session began with the customary team meeting led by manager Lorenzo Bundy and the coaching staff, before transitioning into warm-up routines.
Prior to starting the scrimmage, the roster completed a round of defensive fundamentals focusing on routine plays, followed by group batting practice.
The highlight of the day came with the game action between guinda players, allowing hitters to track pitches in live game conditions while pitchers worked under the pressure of facing live lineups.
With this initial scrimmage, the Tomateros de Culiacán elevate the intensity of their training camp, sharpening details ahead of their first official exhibition games, which kick off this coming September 24 in La Paz.
The guindas will continue their preseason training Monday morning at the ISDE facilities.
