CULIACÁN, SINALOA. – The Tomateros de Culiacán successfully concluded their fourth day of preseason workouts ahead of the start of the 2026-2027 Liga Mexicana del Pacífico (LMP) season.
Unlike previous days, Monday’s session began at 3:30 P.M. due to morning rainfall across the Sinaloan capital. Taking place at the Instituto Sinaloense de Cultura Física y Deporte (ISDE) facilities, the guinda squad opened the week focused on reaching peak condition prior to opening day.
Training camp featured three major additions: pitchers José Luis Bravo and Edgar Arredondo, along with outfielder Fabricio Macías. Bravo and Arredondo suited up in the culichi uniform once again after completing their respective recovery processes, while Macías is experiencing his first preseason with the organization.
"I’m very happy and grateful to the club for this opportunity. Tomateros is one of the strongest franchises, and being here represents a great challenge for me," stated Fabricio after joining workouts.
Promptly at 3:30 P.M., players reported to the foul line to begin a session structured into three main blocks: defensive drills, bullpen work, and batting practice. A five-pitcher group, led by Arredondo and Bravo, threw off the mound, while the rest of the squad executed defensive plays across both the infield and outfield. The session wrapped up on the field with group batting practice.
For Tuesday, the Tomateros de Culiacán Baseball Club is scheduled to resume morning workouts at ISDE, weather permitting.
