Culiacán, Sinaloa. – Right-handed pitcher Édgar Arredondo made his season debut last night with the Acereros de Monclova in the 2026 Mexican Baseball League (LMB) season, marking his triumphant return to the diamond after a long recovery period.

The San Pedro, Navolato native had been sidelined due to physical issues that required two surgical procedures—one on his shoulder and another on his knee.

Arredondo originally debuted with the Monclova squad during the 2023 campaign, posting a stellar 6-1 record. He returned for the 2024 season, once again securing a winning record and establishing himself as one of the Acereros' most reliable arms. However, injuries surfaced a season later, forcing him to undergo surgeries that kept him out of action for over a year.

His highly anticipated return finally took place yesterday against the Sultanes de Monterrey. Arredondo took the mound and proved he is officially back, throwing a flawless, clean inning without allowing any damage—hanging a highly significant zero for both his personal comeback and the "Furia Azul" bullpen.

This is fantastic news for the entire "Nación Guinda." Édgar Arredondo's return not only strengthens his role in summer baseball but also revs up the engines heading into the upcoming Liga ARCO Mexicana del Pacífico season.
